Warren L. Younger
Veteran Warren Younger was born on the family farm near Fairfax on November 4,1921. He was the oldest child of Elmer and Ethyle (Lang) Younger. Warren grew up on the family farm and attended school in Corning. He had to quit school to help support the family after completing junior high school.
During World War II, Warren served overseas with the U.S. Army. In 1945, he was united in marriage to Marie Ward. They later divorced. Warren also was married to Vickie Ashford and Rhonda Wallace. He was a charter member of the Golden Arrow Bowhunter Club in Fairfax and also a member of English Grove Presbtyerian Church. Warren is survived by sons, Wayne, Fairfax, Roger, Kansas City, Don, Terry and Tony, all of St Joseph, Missouri; daughters, Marsha Straub, Fairfax, Dinah Hart, Breckenridge, Missouri, Mary Ann Younger, St Joseph, and Tracy Younger, Mound City, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lucille Voltmer, a son, Glen L. Younger; and a grandson, Jason Straub.
