Lonnie Dean Kuhns, the son of Rufus and Nellie (Hall) Kuhns, was born on August 21, 1943, in Auburn, Nebraska. He attended schools in Atchison County. He was of Christian faith. Lonnie worked for many years for Rolf Supply in Rock Port, Missouri until their closing. He then became a truck driver until his retirement.

Lonnie was united in marriage to Becky Ward on May 22, 1965. They became the parents of two children, Rhonda and Jeffrey. He enjoyed working on his pickup and some carpentry work. Lonnie loved spending time with his family. Lonnie passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at his home in Rock Port, at the age of 82.

Besides his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include wife, Becky; children, Rhonda and Jeff (Jessica); grandsons, Kyle (Aspen), Brett (Ashley), Justin, and Jordan; sister, Cathy; numerous nieces and nephews.
