Peggy Sue Allen, 67, of Polk County, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 8, 2025.
Peggy was born on March 12, 1958, to James Sr. and Mary (Mehalovich) Easley in Polk County, Iowa.
She attended Saydel High School and later pursued her passion for beauty, graduating from El Salvador\\'s School of Beauty as a licensed cosmetologist.
Always eager to learn and grow, Peggy also earned a bachelor\\'s degree in Micro Business with a specialization in Computer Technology.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, James Sr. Easley and Mary Jackson, and sisters Susan Shafer and Donna Mae Brown.
Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Her heart and home were always open—not only to her family, but to her neighbors and her children\\'s friends, whom she embraced as her own.
Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, IA, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
