Larry D Flanagan
Larry was born August 3, 1950, in Fairfax, Missouri. He was the son of the late Worley and Hazel L. (Arnold) Flanagan.
He attended school and was a graduate of Fairfax High School Class of 1968. He also attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.
In his younger years he delivered newspapers in Fairfax. Larry also worked at Hunter’s Grocery Store starting as a sack boy, later becoming their butcher and eventually managing the entire store.
Larry started selling fireworks with Burt Smith in 1976. He was the owner of Liberty Fireworks, Poor Boy Fireworks, and Fireworks Emporium.
Larry enjoyed fishing and watching football, especially the Cleveland Browns. He also liked gardening and camping at Hoot Owl Bend. His favorite holiday was the 4th of July when he enjoyed hosting family and friends for a big party.
The love of his life was his daughter, Juli.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ann Marie Flanagan; and a stepson, Thauan Andrade.
Survivors include his wife, Teonilia, of the home, Craig; daughter, Juli Flanagan; and many friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the English Grove Cemetery, Fairfax, with Pastor David Showalter officiating. Memorials may be directed to English Grove Cemetery, 26338 State Hwy. J, Fairfax, MO 64446. Arrangements are under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax/Craig. Larry D. Flanagan, age 73, Craig, Missouri, died Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.
