Wallace, William Andrew, Jr. was born May 24, 1969 in Fairfax, MO, the son of William Andrew and Nellie Diana (Hodge) Wallace. Andy lived his early years in Fairfax and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1987. During his senior year he attended the Vocational Technical School in Maryville to become an auto body worker.
He was united in marriage to Shelley Lynne Clark Sept. 25, 1987 at the United Methodist Church in Tarkio. They made their home in Fairfax while Andy was employed with XL Corporation at Phelps City. During 1993 and 1994 he worked for Graham Construction. In July of 1994, he established Wallace Roofing and Construction which he operated to the present time.
As a young man he was baptized and became a member of the Tarkio Assembly of God Church. In later years he had been attending the First Lutheran Church of Rock Port. He was a member of the Fairfax Alumni Association. Andy died Sept. 4, 1999 at his home in Rock Port at the age of 30 years. Andy is survived by his wife, Shelley, of the home in Rock Port; two daughters, Andrea Dawn Wallace of the home and Felicia Michelle Lee of Rock Port; his parents, Andy and Diana Wallace, Fairfax; paternal grandfather, Glen Wallace, Rock Port, maternal grandmother, Lucille Hodge, Tarkio; two brothers, James Wayne Wallace and Jeffery Michael Wallace both of Tarkio; two sisters, Martha Jane Johnson, Tarkio and Betty Mae Barlow, Chicago, father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Deanna Clark, grandfather-in-law and grandmother-in-law, Dean and Lois Aistrope, great-grandmother-in-law, Jessie Clark and brother-in-law, Mike Clark all of Hamburg.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Betty Winchel Kirk, maternal grandfather, Frank Hodge, maternal grandmother, Nellie Slemp and niece Shana Wallace.Funeral services were held Sept. 7, at the First Lutheran Church at Rock Port with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Interment was in English Grove Cemetery at Fairfax. Minter Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
